Michael was only 22 years old when he came upon some slowed traffic on his way home from work. What he saw surprised him. On the side of the road was an injured and helpless two-year-old dog that people kept driving by as if he was just a piece of trash.
Michael grew up in a home where his parents taught him compassion for animals. He stopped, wrapped the dog in some blankets in the back of his car and got the dog to a vet. The medical bills for the tests and procedures the dog needed were $6,000 and the dog’s owner said he couldn’t afford to pay the bill.
