Cats have survival instincts just like people do. But they also have strong motherly instincts, just like we do. One mother cat showed just how strong her instincts to protect her young were when she and her kittens were trapped in a burning building.
The cat could have just run and left the babies because time was ticking for her to protect her life. But instead, she walked through the blazing flames five times to remove each kitten individually from the flames because the kittens were too small to rescue themselves. When rescuers arrived, the mother cat had collapsed from difficult situation of rescuing her kittens.
