When a litter of kittens showed up at a shelter, they were terribly emaciated. The shelter team said they could see their bones. Plus, the kittens’ temperature was low at just 97 degrees, so the team had to keep them under warmers to help them grow and improve. The shelter staff was worried they wouldn’t make it through the night because of the extensive care that the cats needed.
At five weeks old, these cats weighed less than a half a pound. This is the weight that generally a week old cat weighs. Their foster mom had to feed them every three hours to help them regain their strength.

What an amazing recovery these cats make!
