A team of rescuers was called in to rescue a family of cats. When they arrived, they found a mother cat with her six kittens. The mother cat seemed to recognize that the rescuers were there to help her and her family. She seemed to know that for her babies to survive, she would need some assistance.
They fed and washed the family of cats at the shelter. The kittens were all in good health. When they gave the mother cat a checkup though they noticed that the “mother” cat was a male cat. He might have been the father cat or otherwise relative, but he took his role serious as a protector.
