After being abandoned at a gas station, Mercy, a friendly German shepherd, approached a dog rescuer. The dog was in need of a friend to care for her, but the dog rescuer had a car full of other animals in need of help.
Mercy slowly approached and licked the dog rescuer’s knee to show its need for help. The dog rescuer knew she couldn’t leave this friendly creature. She took the other animals in her car to safety and returned for the German shepherd.
When she opened her car door back at the gas station where Mercy waited for her, the dog jumped right in, thankful to be headed to safety and the food and water she desperately needed.
