Iris was diagnosed with autism early on in life. Her parents were informed that she may never speak or be able to communicate effectively. The family was clearly upset and disappointed with the diagnosis. The family decided to do research to see how they could help their little girl who was diagnosed at just two years old.
She even found making eye contact difficult and didn’t know how to play with others. Her sleep patterns were all over the place. She loved to paint and was actually quite good at painting. The family found that animal therapy can boost interactive behavior in autistic children.

It was a chance meeting between the girl and cat, but thankfully, it changed her life.
