Nandy is a baby southern white rhino whose parents were killed by poachers. Nandy ate sand and had a very low chance of survival in the wild. An orphanage took the rhino in and Jamie cared for him. Jamie was a loving caregiver and even slept next to Nandy at night to give him the best chance of survival.
Jamie also cared for another animal, a cat that she had adopted at just a few weeks old. The cat and rhino met one day and became instant best friends when they discovered some shared interests, including going for walks.

While these animals rarely come in contact with one another in the wild, at an orphanage, they are close friends.
