Although sixteen years have passed since Gerard adopted his cat Mitcho, the two are still just as loving toward one another as they’ve always been. As Gerard ages, their relationship must adjust. Recently, he had to go in for a hip replacement, which left him on crutches.
Mitcho is extremely supportive of Gerard and walks slowly next to him so that they can stay together and still enjoy one another’s company despite Gerard’s slower pace for the time being. Throughout Gerard’s healing, Mitcho stayed very close and offered comfort and compassion toward the man.
