Ember was a stray cat that sat outside of the fire station one day. She peered inside just begging for attention, which the firefighters gave her. They brought her inside and took her to a vet where she was spayed and given medical attention for her ear mites.
The cat was so well behaved that the firefighters assumed she must be someone’s house pet. They posted photos of her all over social media forums and boards but never heard from anyone looking to claim her. Eventually, they decided she was right where she belonged and so they adopted her.
