Russian Farmer Finds Four Small Kittens In His Barn And Assumes They Are House Cats

Cats tend to have their kittens in cozy corners of areas that are warm. Therefore, it’s not uncommon to find a litter of kittens just tucked away in a corner somewhere. That’s what one Russian farmer thought he had found one day in his barn. They looked like somewhat peculiar house cats, but he took care of them just the same.

He decided to get some professional help from a local nature preserve. What he discovered was that he had palace cats. These are thought to be the earliest ancestors of the modern house cat but they are still wild.
