It broke one woman’s heart to watch animals be abandoned. She found a cat near her porch one day that was clearly starved and in need of a friend. So she put some food out for the cat and watched it devour the food.
She kept feeding the cat and eventually the cat became so friendly and confident that the woman was her friend that the cat was on her porch each morning. Realizing that this cat deserved better than a life on the street, she took the cat to a nearby shelter.
